tamara cherie
TAMARA CHERIE FREAKIN' DYSON. Yes gal YES. These are the highlights from her collection but I absolutely loved the show. From the modern, minimalist garments to the clean lighting and the moderate pace the models walked at, as a whole the show was entertaining, aesthetically pleasing and really just quite a delight.
I am generally a lover of minimalism and seeing models strut down the runway in all sorts of metallics, really brought out my inner Indian. The beginning of the show started out with a few full black looks with a trend of vertical stripes and then the show took a turn with models coming out in soft pastels, nudes, whites and creams with simplistic silhouettes. Now and then there was a spontaneous pop of color here and there(to keep us entertained and on our toes I suppose) and then gradually there was a change to garments with more copper, bronze and general shine. Dyson keep the theme of flowing vertical lines throughout the show and with this collection she proves to us her forte lies in minimalist garments.
The first I herd of Dyson is when she won the ELLE Rising Star Design Award in 2014. After that she sort of disappeared but for fashion week she came to conquer and so she did! I really loved the show and especially the more copper garments because I find it very rare to find local designers who can mesh bold and shiny colors with minimalism and for me Dyson does it very well.

Now I know I spoke a lot about the greatness of the metallic colors in the garments but my favorite look would have to be this one. Something about the vertical lines mixed with the different textures of black just made so much sense to me as it was strut down the runway. I'm not too sure whether it's a dress or a 2 pieces but either way it definitely backs up the notion that "Simplicity is Key".
