STILL LIVE for those of you who didn't get it, is a play on the word 'still life' which in art and photography terms refers to a picture of something that's still. We did this shoot during a really hectic week and I thought it appropriate to call it STILL LIVE because I feel I'm still live/alive but i''m not going anywhere. I'm moving at a very fast pace but I'm not going anywhere!? I don't want to bore you with my Matric woes so here's an editorial shot by the one and only Lwandile the Great and I feel like this is my life right now, especially that exams are coming up. . . Life is sorta black and white with minimal sparkle, repetitiveness and constant mood swings,

Even though this shot looks somewhat like a mugshot, it's a perfect example of how lighting and light angles can
|
influence a picture. There's a lot of light on the right side of my face hence it looks like I have 2 different face structures. If one were to divide my face in half and mirror it, you would have two completely different faces. . .

Here I'm wearing a blazer with strappy heels and alot of gold jewlery on my hands and fingers. I've added a chain to my ankle just to add some sprazz, I didn't have an anklet so I used a bracelet. I kept my curly and I plated it into a halo, well at least that was the aim. My earings are wonderfully minimalist, they're basically one long curved piece of gold with a clip at the top and an proper stud and butterfly at the back. I kept my make up minimal because I wanted it to flow with minimalist vibe of my blazer and shoes.
